About Me

I am a warm and approachable psychologist dedicated to supporting the emotional wellbeing of children, young people, and their families. My work is grounded in a person-centred approach, and I strive to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel safe, understood, and supported. I tailor each session to the individual, recognising the unique experiences, strengths, and needs that every young person brings.

My career has taken me across a range of clinical and educational settings. I have supported university students managing both academic pressures and personal challenges, and I have worked as a psychologist within primary and secondary schools. These experiences have deepened my understanding of child and adolescent development, learning needs, and the emotional hurdles young people may encounter. This background allows me to provide sensitive, practical, and well-informed guidance to those I work with.

Individual Therapy

I offer a calm, supportive space where you can talk openly about what’s been feeling heavy, overwhelming, or hard to put into words. Whether you’re seeking support for yourself or your child, you don’t have to navigate this alone.

Who I Support

I work with children and adolescents (ages 5–18), as well as university students, supporting concerns such as anxiety, academic stress, emotional regulation, grief, and self-esteem.

Please feel free to get in touch to explore whether I may be the right fit for you.

Areas of Special Interest

I believe meaningful therapy happens when people feel safe, understood, and able to be themselves. I offer a warm, compassionate approach grounded in evidence-based practice.

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Adjustment difficulties
  • Grief and Loss
  • Acute stress and psychological distress
  • Bullying
  • Self-confidence and self-esteem issues

Therapeutic Approach

My practice is informed by positive psychology and a strengths-focused perspective. I use evidence-based therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), to help young people build resilience, develop emotional regulation skills, and learn strategies that support their overall wellbeing.

I value collaboration and believe that effective support often involves the wider network surrounding a young person. When appropriate, I work alongside families, educators, and other health professionals to ensure care is consistent, holistic, and responsive to each client’s needs.

First Session

The first session focuses on understanding the presenting concerns and gathering important developmental, family, and background information to guide treatment planning.

Children under 14 years

The initial appointment is held with parents or caregivers only to discuss the child’s history, strengths, and areas of concern.

Young people (14+ years)

The session is divided into:

  • 30 minutes with the young person
  • 30 minutes with parents or caregivers

Clients may also complete assessments or questionnaires to help clarify the presenting issues and support the development of an individualised treatment plan.

Pathways to Referral

I welcome referrals from GPs, paediatricians, and medical specialists. Families are also welcome to contact me directly.

Mental Health Care Plans (MHCPs) For children and young people seeking psychological support through Medicare.
NDIS Referrals I see both self-managed and plan-managed clients.
Private Referrals No formal referral is required—parents, caregivers, and students may self-refer.
